Jorge Barraza

Pronouns: he/him/his Jorge joined the Rape Recovery Center in December of 2018. He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Social Work and has spent years focusing on his passion for advocating for marginalized and underserved communities.

His most recent work has been with Utah Community Action, Planned Parenthood, and the Utah Domestic Violence Coalition where he has worked on issues of economic justice, reproductive health, domestic abuse, racism, and immigration. Jorge believes in justice and equality for all and that through prevention work, including the dissemination of information and offering healthy alternatives to unhealthy norms, we can make positive changes in our community and society as a whole.

Jorge is an expert in healthy relationships, consent, men’s engagement, gender roles, immigrant survivors. In his free time, he enjoys guitars, concerts, and tacos.
