Myra Gerst

Myra Gerst works as the Engagement Coordinator at the Center for Student Wellness at the U where she oversees the development and implementation of programming aimed to address the intersectionality of masculinity, violence prevention, and mental health through engaging men and male-identified students across campus.

She comes into this work with previous experience as a prevention advocate and with an educational background in Public Health from the University of Kentucky. Myra’s approach to engaging men focuses on creating relationships and opening the door for men to have conversations that they may have never had before in a way that is intentional and inviting. She oversees a group of 6 undergraduate Engagement Ambassadors in her role who serve as leaders in engaging their male-identified peers in these conversations.
